Chilangos Mexican Cuisine

Awesome little place with great food. Friendly, family like restaurant. Plenty of menu items. I had two quesadillas; one potato and one mushroom, deep fried. The guacamole was very delicious as well. Good prices too! Close to I-75 ramps so easy stop for sure. Full service bar on tap.

We were traveling from Florida to Blue Ridge for Christmas and wanted to stop here to eat on our way up but they were closed on Monday. But because the reviews were so great we made a plan to stop on our way home on Friday after Christmas. Boy am I glad we did! We eat A LOT of Mexican food and this WAS by far the VERY BEST we've EVER had! I had a steak taco and a chicken taco, my husband had a chicken taco and enchilada Verde which is 4 chicken enchiladas, so I got one of them. 😊Everything was homemade including their chips and salsa which were delicious. I’m always excited when I find authentic Mexican food. From the variety of menu items, flavorful food, dietary accommodations, reasonable prices, and exceptional service, Chilangos exceeded my expectations. I’m vegan so I’m thankful for Ms. Liz kindly and thoroughly explaining which menu options would work best for my diet. She’s such a sweetheart. I highly recommend the tacos, guacamole, and tostadas.

Oh my. Just eat here, please. Get anything. I’m still sitting at my booth here writing this because I need everyone to know how amazing this place is. Service is outstanding, place is clean, food is out of this world. What else do you want?

Let me preface by saying, I’ve always gone to the gas station attached to this restaurant because it is close to where I work. Curiosity finally got the best of me and I decided to go into Chilango’s for lunch. I was greeted by a young woman who quickly asked what I wanted to eat. I explained that this was my first time eating here and didn’t know what to get. She quickly explained the menu and asked me what I was interested in, Texmex or authentic Mexican food, as they had both. I went with the authentic option and she explained a few options that might fit my parameters. I decided to go with the Al Pastor tacos and got 2 of them, along with a cheese dip.
