Cheers on the Beach Pub and Grill

Fantastic service and food!! We came to this great little gem on Christmas Eve for the first time. We were greeted as we were coming in the door as if we were regulars and long time friends of the staff and amazing owner Jojo. Diane was our incredible and kind waitress. She was funny and so attentive. She really helped and cared for my gluten free diet. She went back a few time to confirm food was gluten free. Diane is the kind of waitress I would like to clone and have at every restaurant experience. The clam chowder soup was the best one I have ever had and it was gluten free, the wings are not breaded but not fully gluten free since they are fried in oils with other foods with wheat, but honestly I was ok with that and they were tasty and not dried at all. Oh Boy...everything was good until my BFs meal. In 6 years I have never seen the man not even be able to finish the 1st bite/spit it out/send it away. The 'sushi grade' tuna on the specials menu was not so sushi grade. And the owner/manager was quite rude about it saying she only buys fresh fish. So I guess she got a bad batch then...see pic. Everything else was pretty decent. We won't be going back though. ((

First visit tonight, ever, and my wife and I were floored by how wonderful Cheers is... The crowd was fun, food is great. Try the coconut shrimp or the pot roast!! Our server was so nice and everyone made us feel right at home.. we will be back! I have not enjoyed this type of pub in nearly 40 years!!!!!... 2 days later, tried lunch and had as close to real Philly style cheese steak, their fries and a cold Yuengling on tap.. our splendid barista/server Diane keeps things moving but takes the effort to say hi and treats everyone as a regular.. she and the owner, JoJo do a fantastic job in making everyone feel at home!

A cold glass of Pinot Grigio, hot and saucy garlic wings, some crispy and tender mahi bites and some good karaoke… is my kind of night, and this place REALLY delivered. A true hidden gem!

After picking up my spouse at the Melbourne Airport yesterday, we decided to go to Cheers. To our surprise, it was Karaoke night! The singers were very good and entertaining. Especially, when three guys got up together to sing some of the famous "oldies". I was CRAVING their Meatball Ricotta app. They truly could give any Italian restaurant a run for their money. They are so flavorful, delicious sweet red sauce, and tangy cheeses. We then both ordered the fish and chips. Excellent portions, cooked to perfection, and those fries! Yum! This place is truly a gem. Great service, atmosphere, reasonable prices, and the owner JoJo (sp?) is fantastic. She is so passionate about food and her business and really engages with her customers. We look forward to returning very soon! Cheers!
