Chasin Tail BBQ

We were just passing through town and wanted some authentic Texas BBQ and we found the right place! After seeing multiple five star reviews, we decided this was the place for us. We went out of our way just a little bit and we were not disappointed. I had a giant baked potato with two meats, pulled pork and brisket. And my husband had the two meat combo with chicken and brisket. We left completely stuffed and very happy. The staff were friendly and the service was quick.

I saw this restaurant on my GPS as I was headed to the airport. Its right off the interstate so easy find. I ask for recommendations of what the cashier like and she recommended the smoked turkey and I chose the jalapeño sausage. Plate came with two sides and Texas toast. Fries were fresh and the used season salt after they were out of the fryer so if you don't like salty fries, you may want to ask for that not to be added. Turkey was moist and I just added alittle of the original sauce and throughly enjoyed it. Sausage was also was also good and not to hot. Overall a great experience and would stop again on my way through.

Got the one meat plate. Got potato salad and mac n cheese. Mac n cheese was watery. Potato salad was full of crunchy uncooked potatoes. Sausage wasn't very good either. The loud argument in the kitchen between two workers was the icing on the cake. Paid $20 for crappy food and service. I won't be back.

So it has been years since I've had Chasin' Tails BBQ, but it's legit! Excuse the half eaten plates before I took pics 😋 My better half is a trained French Chef and we are total foodies. We cook at home 90% of the time but we try to eat out once a week. From fine dining to a hole in the wall, good food is good food. We are also service industry vets and appreciate experiences all around. The "new to me" location is clean, friendly and the BBQ is really good! So good, you dont need the yummy Bbq sauce, but definitely try it. Our favs were the pulled pork, ribs and the jalapeño sausage. Brisket was yummy and moist. The sides were delish too!
