Casa Maya Grill & Cafe - Don Chon

I have tried to stay loyal and support this family owned establishment, but this most recent visit unfortunately was my last. It has become very rundown. The service has gotten very poor and so has the food. Which is very sad because the food at one point was delicious and authentic. The establishment itself needs a major cleaning and some rearranging of the random things that are laying all over the seating area for customers. Not quite sure what to think of all the baked goods that are on card tables everywhere to sell without labels and pricing. Doesn't look appealing to me.

I would have gave it 5 stars. But they made all the to go orders while I waited 30min for my food. You should take care of the customer that are actually in your restaurant first. Also the heat was at about 50 degrees. Looks like an amazing place inside. Maybe it was a bad day for them. I will definitely try here again.

I can't say enough great things about Don Chons, aka Taco Chons. Which I prefer to call it. Authentic Mexican food prepared and made in front of you while you wait. Their Machaton is very good. Recently i went vegan and was SO excited to hear that serve soy pastor meat alternative and I couldn't be happier. The burrito or chimichanga is still my favorite with the vegan option. Highly recommend Don Chons!! My girl gets the kids quesadilla and fries with a side of rice.

My family and I come here a lot. And the food is top tier. They usually get the Chimichanga and love it. I can't because I have no self control and will eat it all in one sitting lol. I get the Nachos locos and it is unexplainable how good it is 😋! Nachos are my favorite, so I make them at home because no place can get them right. BUT THIS PLACE!! 😙👌mwah, chef kiss! this place gets it right!! My cousin also likes their chicken tenders with fries. He says they just get it right lol. 10/10 would eat again 😋. Bonus the workers are really nice ! And the place is very clean. I feel like they are always cleaning when I get there lol

First time here and I’m glad we finally tried it. The best part? Love the atmosphere, music and service. Very friendly staff! And our food was out quick. I got birria tacos and I liked them. Also, the salsas were good! I loved the one labeled “hot” and that there’s a little self service area for the salsa so you can grab what you want and they are all labeled. But the absolute best part?! They have vegan options, something I have personally never seen at a Mexican restaurant. The worst part? My parents said their carne asada tacos were mid. They got carne asada and lengua (tongue). I want to try other things on the menu so I’d be back. My dad said the lengua was much better then the carne asada too. Big parking area as well.
