Customer Reviews
I heard about this coffee brand from a friend who had visited Hawaii. Today, while I was out walking my dog, I came across a street fair in Andersonville with booths set up. I decided to take a stroll and found a booth for Carta Coffee. I stopped by and bought a bag of whole beans to take home. The coffee was aromatic and had an excellent flavor. Once I finish this bag, I’m definitely going to order more online.
Scott & Terri welcomed us with open arms. They have some seriously HIGH GRADE coffees. Absolutely delicious. Captain’s Roast is my favorite!
Scott’s an amazing guy. Well spoken and gives a wonderful (free) tour of his small acreage farm whose production is bolstered by a cooperative of, I believe Scott said thirty additional acres owned by other local farms sharing the same passion as to how Kona Coffee should be farmed. One of our hometown guys transplanted to the Big Island Scott’s coffee roasts are all naturally ripened and dried making for deep flavors regardless of roast style.
Terri and Scott are unquestionably FANTASTIC. Their product is absolutely the best and best quality. Scott owns a real Kona Coffee orchard. It's all done by his business to prepare the product. I love it. I do espresso shots to make my "cup or bucket", lol of coffee. It is soo smooth and fragrantly. I have tried several different roasts such as the Latitude, Meridian, Captain's and the Kuupa Kona and haven't had a bad one. Great product, done right and not by mass production such main stream coffee brands and this is 100% Kona. The "Kona" in grocery stores if read carefully only are made of 10% Kona.
We purchased their Latitude beans when they visited San Francisco at a local crafts fair. The couple were very nice and we were happy to support their business. We paid $30 for 6oz of a supposed medium roast. We got home and opened up our bag to a horribly smelling extreme dark roast. I tried working with the beans but the coffee turns out terrible every time. Feel like we got ripped off...
