Customer Reviews
I grew up on Chinese American food and the way to judge it is simple: consistent quality of the fresh ingredients and the range of flavors in the different sauces. No one in their right mind goes to a restaurant like this for the service. After 30 or more trips here for sit down and take out during busy and slow times Camden Island has earned my deep respect. Best Chinese American food in the area.
The front greeted me when I walked into the restaurant. I requested for house specials. I ordered beef teriyaki, crab Rangoon, and house special fried rice. I wanted small appetizers portions and the staff bundled the price around $22-$25. I charged with my credit card and tips the front $7. The beef teriyaki and crab Rangoon tasted great. The house special fried rice looked great with a lot of Chinese sausages, ham, and shrimp. The fried rice was not salty and could add more flavor if needed. I am very satisfied with the food. 4/27/2025 Sunday
I have eaten my share of Chinese food. This place has some of the very best food I've ever had. Moist meaty ribs, very large Teriyaki Beef also fresh and delicious. Scechuon Fried rice was packed with meats and delicious. I judge Chinese food by the egg roll. Chock full of fresh everything. Crisp and not greasy. These folks were one of the only places open during the Blizzard of 26.
I asked if they could make any of the noodle dishes gluten-free and they said they could - so I ordered 3 chicken pad thai and 2 beef chow foons... and they both came without ANY sauce! Just noodles and meat :( Bummer to pay $85 for plain noodles. I would have preferred they tell me they couldn't make it gf.
My first time there food was hot. Huge portions for the price. Clean restaurant servers were helpful. Was pretty lit up and bright. It wasn't as dark as some other Chinese restaurants which I liked that that it wasn't dark. I was very impressed with this place. I will definitely go there again. The only thing I'm concerned about is we were the only ones there other than two people in the bar. It's kind of hidden a little bit so I hope that they get enough business to keep them open because I would love to go back there again. I highly recommend going there for the portion of food for what you pay is a really good deal and it tasted wonderful. I only gave them four stars because that's just how I am whenever I do a review. I never ever give five stars to anybody cuz you would have to be 10
