Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

What happened to Cafe Rio? Its been a while since I have been to one and the whole atmosphere of this place is ruined not to mention the food has really gone downhill. We had to order at the kiosk and to do their 2 for $20 its a whole ordeal. Already not a great experience then we tried to find a seat and every single table was dirty. Like chunks of food dirty. Then when the food actually came (through a prison like slot from the back) it was barely editable. The tortilla was not the soft homemade cheesy kind I remember it was thick and cold like they got it from a bag from Walmart. Then the chicken was tasteless and full of water. My meal was more of a soup than salad. RIP Cafe Rio. Thank goodness there is a Costa Vita right up the street.

Definitely not into the kiosk service, I’m all for the personal interaction. My husband and I got our normal orders, and we were disappointed when we got our food and it had a bunch of random lettuce cores and full tortilla chips in the salad.

This specific location was amazing! The meat:lettuce ratio was satisfactory. Food was fresh and juicy! I live near one that often disappoints. My husband and I stopped at this one on the way to an event and we were very happy with the food. Restaurant is clean.

I asked for smothered burrito, I always get! This time it was sweet, a whole different flavor, asked for spicy sauce it just looked dull!! I’m super impressed!! I lost 13.77 and they lost a costumer..

I do NOT care for the kiosk style of ordering at this South Ogden location. I like my tortilla for a salad crispy. There is no way to add this on the kiosk. I prefer my beans drained. No way to add this on the kiosk. I ask for shredded lettuce and get chopped. I ask for guacamole and get none. This wouldn’t happen if I could walk along and watch the person making my salad, like the original style cafe Rio’s. I have tried this location a couple times and they have NEVER followed my order correctly. Please go back to the original style of ordering at this location or I’ll have to either drive further to find one that still has personal interaction or go to costa vida.
