My husband and I love Cuban food so it was an exciting prospect to try Cafe Con Leche in Seattle. I’m originally from Tampa FL, and as a child, I frequented the numerous Cuban eateries in the Tampa Bay area and Ybor City thanks to my Grandpa Rene. He was a Cuban immigrant who rolled cigars in his home country as well as Ybor City. Cafe Con Leche brought back fond memories of my childhood. We were welcomed by Meredith, our greeter and waitress. She was delightful and her warm smile lit up the cafe. We ordered two cafe con leches which were absolute perfection and delivered with swirled foamy hearts. So sweet, see my pics. We followed up with orders of Palomilla and Pan Con Lechon. The flavor profiles of both orders were spot on and reminiscent of days gone by. Our food was hot, fresh, and
We are visiting from New York and it was such a wonderful stop. The cafe con leche tasted like my mom made it. The carne frita (10/10) was perfection and I can’t recommend it enough. I recommend getting the rice and black beans (10/10). We also got the lechon con pan 8/10. We were seen fast, the waitress was friendly. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Always greeted with a smile and haven’t had anything I didn’t like. The yuca fries and dipping sauce are a good texture and flavor. The stew is a great option even when it’s warm out. The stew is full of flavor, hearty, and filled with pork, yuca and corn. The vegetarian sandwich is a good option as well. The caramelized onion on the vegetarian sandwich goes well with the avocado.
Fantastic food and incredibly friendly staff! I had the Cuban sandwich and shared one of each of the empanadas — every single one was absolutely delicious. The chimichurri made the empanadas next level. Do your taste buds a favor and eat here — you won’t regret it!
Their cubano sandwich with pork and chicken are both to die for! Their service here is amazing with great ambiance. We loved the tea & sauce they give with potatoes side that isn't boring ketchup mustard
