Buttermilk Cafe

The service here was great! However, for the wait time and overall food quality it wasn't really the best. We got skillets in which the bacon was under cooked and was loaded with cheese more than anything else. Atmosphere was fine, but I think it wasn't anything special

We decided to give Buttermilk a try since we’re not from the area and it looked so inviting—and we’re so thankful we did! The service was top-notch; Fabian was incredibly attentive and helpful. The food? Absolute chef’s kiss—hands down one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. Everything is made from scratch and it shows. If you're in the area and looking for delicious food and phenomenal service, this is where you want to go! We’ll definitely be making it a point to return any time we’re visiting Illinois!

Cute restaurant with amazing food! Had the mountain house skillet with the lemon blueberry pancakes which were both delicious. The potatoes in the skillet are crunchy and salted perfectly, the veggies were tender, and the bacon bits were crisp. The pancakes are probably the best blueberry pancakes I've ever had. Lots of flavor in the compote. The pancake itself is fluffy and has good flavor so I'm sure their other pancakes are equally as good. Overall a great breakfast!

This place was PHENOMENAL! Everything was absolutely perfect! The food was so amazing. The staff was extremely friendly. It’s a kid-friendly establishment. My asd toddler even enjoyed his food, which says a lot!! We will have to drive up from Iowa more often just to eat here! 10/10! ⭐️

This is one of my favorite breakfast place 🥞 starting with the location, fantastic coffee ☕ greater service, enormous portions, nicely decorated, one of the best biscuits you can eat, and the most important the personal attention and kindness of the Manager, strongly recommended place, make you a favor and visit this restaurant.
