I had a wonderful experience stopping by Angela’s Caribbean Cuisine. She let us try some samples (stew chicken, jerk chicken and pork) everything was delicious!! That macaroni 🔥🔥!! I must say everything on my plate 🍽️ was amazing! Can’t wait to go back her other specialty dishes

This is real comfort food - soul food - food made with love. Every bite was perfectly seasoned, so tender, rice was cooked perfectly, the sweet plantains were the best I’ve ever had in my life and practically melted in my mouth. Sweet potatoes, cornbread, everything tasted like true home cooking. The owner served it up herself, and she was incredibly kind and generous with the portion sizes. This is a great value for real, delicious food. I’ll be going back many times!

I LOVE this place! The staff is always so friendly and kind. I love that it is family ran as well! The food is fresh, and you can truly taste the true ingredients! I always get the Stew chicken, jerk chicken, or empanadas. I do not mind the wait time if there ever is one because REAL FOOD takes time!! If you are in the area or if you can order online, it is a MUST!!

Amazing Caribbean cuisine here… my family and I drove out for it and honestly it was so worth it. I’d say drive to Hawthorn JUST for Angela’s food. Nothing like this anywhere nearby that we’ve tasted. The stewed chicken was so flavorful and soft, and the empanadas are made fresh to order and not too oily at all.

The food was absolutely phenomenal!! Family owned, everyone was very hospitable and sweet. You can feel the love in the atmosphere and also taste the love in the food! I highly recommend stopping by for some good authentic Caribbean food!
