Rare, dignified, well-appointed Old world, quiet charming historic inn: perfect for large family bookings. Private, small cove, swimmable, pebbly beach, 2 minute walk. One farm to table restaurant, Talise is a five minute walk. Reservations required for both the inn and restaurant. Welcoming elegant owner. Lots of artist-history and culture. A great antiques and clothing consignment exchange, five minute walk. Somewhat seasonal, so check well in advance. We plan to book again.

We have rented The Brynmere in its entirety about every other year since 1987. We love it! The location cannot be beat, the building is marvelously unpretentious, sitting on the porch enjoying the view and family is one of the greatest experiences ever! Elz is a terrific manager. Highly recommend!

This hotel is wonderful. We felt as though we were back in the 1890"s and staying at a very grand hotel. Paul Sargent, a wonderful Annisquam resident bought the hotel in the 1960"s . He restored it to the original condition of an Inn in the 1890's. Very reasonably priced with fantastic porches and glassed-in sitting areas. The beach is small and filled with gigantic granite rocks. The employees felt like friends. This was the best part of our vacation. We should have stayed longer
