Black Mountain Library

This is a nice little library. However the librarians here talk very loudly! Every time I’ve gone in, I learn all about their medical issues and whatever else is going on in their life. It makes it unpleasant and impossible to read in peace. I wish they would be more mindful about that. “Back in my day” everyone whispered in the library to be respectful of those who are trying to read or study. Otherwise it has some cool features. A little free art library, a seed catalog, and many computers.

Has a great selection of books and book recommendations as well as computers, printing, games to rent, and puzzles to buy

I just read the Dark City Poets Society Anthology I checked out from the library in Black Mountain. And what a discovery of the amount (and depth) of local talent. Your gift to the world gifted me. Natalie Goldberg once said a poet takes a vow of poverty in our unappreciative culture. But you have the richness of soul (not that the two are mutually exclusive.) Is there something else in the pipeline?

Such a sweet little spot. Yummy snacks, drinks, and plants...All in a super sweet setting. Love it!
