Bing's Bakery

The team at Bing's did an incredible job of bringing my son's birthday dream cake to life! That hard work and commitment to customer service was great, even if the cake was a touch sweeter than expected. The cake was alright. I loved the face it was really cute cake cake!

So I purchased 2 cakes a seen in the picture along with danishes and cupcakes (cupcakes were ok and the danishes were good)There’s no date on them to indicate when they’re best to be eaten. As u see in the one with two cakes, the yellow slice looks as if it was just thrown in the container. Even worse than that is THE CAKES ARE STALE. It’s no telling how long these slices of cakes were sitting on their counter but it’s clear that they don’t include the date of making them because they know they are old. It’s unfortunate because my daughter is about the graduate from the University of Delaware and I was gonna get her graduation cake from Bings Bakery but after tasting the cake it’s clear that they have no issue selling us old and stale cakes

Bing's Bakery has been on Main Street many years but this is our first time buying something. We bought a hald sheet birthday cake for my mom's birthday. The cake was very good. The people there are all very friendly and helpful. We were there twice before ordering our cake. Each time they patiently answer all our questions. Also both times were there, they were people coming into the shop non stop. That tells me something. The price was reasonable. We will definitely go back if the needs arise again.

I really wanted to like this place. I am from out of town so I searched up a couple of bakeries in the area and saw this place had amazing reviews. The lady was so helpful when I placed my order over 5 weeks in advance for my engagement party. I told her I wanted a chocolate ganache and raspberry filling for my cake which she recommended me to get chocolate fudge instead. Fast forward to the day it needed to be picked up, there was no writing on the cake which we called two weeks in advance to add on. Kindly, they did it for us on the spot. We had the cake 3-4 hours upon picking it up, super dry and no raspberry filling. I then called the bakery Monday bc they were closed the previous day and night to voice my complaint. They had a worker going back and forth between the manager and him.

Two days after Christmas, I needed a small wedding cake for my son’s wedding dinner. Because it was so close to the holiday, cake orders had already closed, and I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. Carla, the owner, truly went above and beyond and agreed to make the cake for this very special occasion. The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Thank you, Carla, for your kindness, generosity, and for helping me out in a pinch. Bing’s will always be my go-to bakery.
