Excellent atmosphere and service. My lobster rolls was pretty good. The bun was slightly burned and it could have used some butter when being toasted. My sangria and the onion rings were excellent..
The fried scallops were excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The location and view is great. The bar serves top notch drinks. It can get pretty busy in season, so I like visiting in the off-season best. It's on the Sagamore Creek and right next door to a marina. Lots of boats and docks to look at from the outdoor dining area. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
We wanted to get out of Portsmouth but still have a lunch with a view and settled on BG’s and boy, were we glad we came here. Beautiful setting, friendly folks with a helpful server and terrific food and drink. Lobster roll, clam chowder, fish sandwich and even an extra corn on the cob were all perfect. And a Del’s shandy to wash it down made it all the better. Great place. Maybe come back one year to enjoy it again during leaf season.
Visited on Sunday with family and, unfortunately, left very underwhelmed. The food was mediocre at best—especially given the steep prices. The lobster roll was skimpy, tasted like frozen meat, and appeared to have no tail meat at all. Fried oysters lacked flavor, falling short of expectations. The seafood chowder was forgettable due to lack of seafood content, and both the rum drink and margarita were extremely weak. It seems the restaurant is relying more on the stunning view than the quality of the food and drinks to justify their pricing. Sadly, it’s not enough to bring us back anytime soon. I do want to complement our server and hostess. Both was professional and accommodating.
2023-Back again and still a fantastic option. The onion rings are really good and they can cook a burger to order! Staff is great, prices are fair! Fantastic setting, great seafood options and the land lovers also have great options. Impressive beer selections and super friendly staff. Came back for our 2nd visit, still great. Had the steak tips this time and both the red & white sangria! Staff friendly as ever, location is still epic! I highly recommend!
