I'm in from Victoria needed a place to study and do homework. People here are friendly. Bathroom is nice and clean. Wifi is great. I could upload/ download my assignments as needed. It's quite with plenty of books available to use. If you don't have your own computer they have some available for use. It appears they have plenty of activities for little ones too!
If I could give minus stars, I would. On this second trip to the library, I needed to they offered to print a page: The male receptionist, was completely unhelpful. He apparently needs a class on how to give clear directions. After telling me to scan my card, he pointed to computer to use, as he said “the url is on top of the page on window, in red. Then said “you don’t need to use the computer”without further explanation. When I went back to ask for help, he said you just email to the email above. Clearly, I don’t use computers often and he and his coworker saw I needed help. I decided to give back my library card and go to CVS to get something printed. Very disappointed with the level of communication at the local library.
The older man and woman at the front desk are are not friendly. The 1st thing we heard walking in was “The Library closes at 2” from the old man. Was in the Library for maybe 15 minutes and the older woman talked man walked around barking at everyone that the library closes in 25 minutes. So we just left. I could hear the older man and woman complaining about how people come too late on Saturday’s, that it’s always the same. I think these 2 people should find jobs better suited for their temperament, being in the public is not one. However, the young woman at the front desk was very lovely, and helpful.
It really is a wonderful place to be, they have many activities for children like Toddler time that my son enjoys.
Whoever the white bald guy at the front is rude and stuck up. Not welcoming at all! Didn’t even smile once. Made it’s seem like when I came in I was bothering him for needing some printed documents. This is why no one wants to come to libraries anymore. Just very unprofessional and rude behavior. Corpus Christi libraries are way better!
