Beach Hut Deli

On a road trip and decided to stop for a sandwich. Beach Hut was right off of I-80 so we went to try out. The wife ordered a small sandwich and I had a regular. Her sando was okay but was really small. Less than the 3" advertised. My regular was s rueben. The sando was well constructed but the meat used just okay. The soda dispenser didn't have ice and the ice tea dispenser had paper name plates with green tea and sweet green tea. The place has a surf shop vibe. Nuff said.

Very attractive interior. Plenty of parking. Our two 6 inch sandwiches were outstanding. All ingredients fresh and high quality, excellently prepared. They were prepared to look just like the images on their website. Person taking our order was extremely pleasant. Not crowded.

My Husband and I got to Beach Hut Deli in Colfax CA. and was so hungry. We had read about the sandwiches and already knew what we were going to order before we even got there but unfortunately when my Husband walked in at 7:30pm when it says online clear as day, they close at 8pm we were very disappointed when they said they were already closed, so disappointed my Husband says we are not coming back here ever again, so we went to Subway where we normally go and will continue to go. Subway is open until 10pm and as far as I know they dont close early. You would think when it says they close at 8pm, at 7:30pm they should still be making sandwiches, you are supposed to stop making sandwiches at 8pm and start closing after 8pm. Am I right or is this something new?

Some times the service is lacking, but today was a good day. I arrived shortly after the restaurant opened, at 10 am. I got my order in quickly and received it the same. All of the ingredients were fresh. My favorite is the Surfin' Burd sandwich. The restrooms and store were all clean. I'm happy with this trip in!

Great people with a chill environment to grab a sandwich or a salad. Always have good music playing. Great spot to grab a bite before going up the hill or on the way home. They play the sports game on the big TV. Grab a beer and hang out at their small bar area. Always fresh food and they never disappoint. Try the skinny dip! It’s yummy!
