Customer Reviews
Excellent food! We got the burrata and squash, fried risotto balls, the special Alpini pizza and the rhubarb polenta cake and loved every single bite. The servers were all very nice as well. Surprisingly packed on a late Wednesday evening, so definitely recommend a reservation.
Food was good! Ordered several small plates, two pizzas and dessert. Service was fine though not particularly warm/outstanding. One thing that was disappointing was the addition of a 3% "Operational Fee" when I received the check. I double checked the fine print on the menu and my reservation notice online. Not disclosed in either location. Noted on the check is that the "Operational Fee" is kept by the establishment and NOT part of gratuity for service. Also noted that the recommended gratuity is on the post tax and "Operational Fee" amount. I asked if the "Operational Fee" is optional or can be waived if the bill is paid in cash. Response was no and that he "just prints the receipts". I am fine with paying a higher price for outstanding food/service/ambiance. However, Bar del Corso needs
Honestly I think Pagliacci pizza tastes better and is better value, even though this is a fancier sit down restaurant. The pizzas here aren't large and are fairly expensive. We also had clams and the burrata. Both just OK. There is a 3% "operations fee" on the check, and on top of that the suggested tip options start at 20%. To the owners - why not just make your menu prices 3% higher to avoid the deception? And why start the tip options at 20% in a city that has a $21.30 minimum wage?
We really enjoyed our dinner at Bar del Corso. The drinks and appetizers were great. The bread was delicious. Pizza was ok, but the bottom of the crust was a bit too burnt for my liking. We were sitting outside and the atmosphere was great. Overall we'll definitely come back.
Lively neighborhood Italian restaurant with plenty of great specials. The service is friendly, the dishes are a good size and easy to share. Presentation is no-frills, but the flavors make up for it with great quality ingredients that are well paired. Definitely worth a stop.
