Azzara's

We are usually disappointed by the Italian in the Tahoe area. Crossed the border to try Azzara's and we were pleasantly surprised! The staff were all very welcoming. Checked on us and were very fast with our beginnings, meal and the bill. The Chicken Parm was nice and crispy. The sauces on the pasta dishes we had were great. The meatballs had really good flavor. We will be back! By far the best Italian we've had in the area.

Start with great garlic bread. Follow with mushroom soup. Now for the main course, the best canneloni ever. I was too full for the cheesecake or spumoni

Got three dishes there. Everything is so good. I can taste the white wine in the seafood pasta and the cream in the mushroom soup. Favor is distinct though blended in very well. Portions are big even for the kids meal. The servers are very details and proactive. The services are much better than a lot of restaurants in the Bay Area.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Azzara's. We even brought our 4-month-old, and we were blown away when one of the owners offered to hold him so we could actually enjoy our meal! That level of kindness is so rare and made our night so much more relaxing. As for the food, everything was perfect: • Caesar Salad: Fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced. • Petrale Sole Special: Incredibly delicate and flavorful—a must-order if it’s available. • Pasta: Authentic and cooked to perfection. • House-made Cheesecake: Do not skip this! It was rich, creamy, and clearly made with love. It’s rare to find a place that combines such high-quality cuisine with a truly family-friendly heart. We will definitely be back!

From the moment we walked in, it didn’t feel like a restaurant — it felt like we were guests in someone’s Italian home. Let me start with Andrea, our server, who gave us world-class service. Not rushed, not robotic — but the kind of attentiveness that makes you feel seen and cared for. There’s an Italian word I’m searching for — somewhere between garbata and contegno — to describe her grace and elegance. She was poised, warm, and truly made the evening memorable. I ordered their oven-roasted lasagna (I don’t remember the exact menu name, but you’ll find it). It had the perfect balance of house-made Bolognese and creamy ricotta — simple, soulful, and sat
