Aubergine Bed and Breakfast

Beautiful old home, well taken care of. Host is a wonderful woman who pays attention to detail. I was there with a group of people. Enjoyed tea and sandwiches (I'm not sure this happens every day, we were on a business trip) She makes wonderful breakfasts, all made with local ingredients. She has a gorgeous dog, very small. We wanted to meet him, not sure he is present all the time. Her home was decorated for Christmas and was so charming. Bedrooms have different themes. Loved it!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Aubergine Bed & Breakfast for a family wedding back in early July and we had a lovely experience! Christine is a wonderful host that made our stay very special! Every morning, we would come down to the most delicious homemade breakfast made from local ingredients in her own backyard. We would also be greeted by her adorable Sheltie dog named Finn who always put a smile on our faces! We enjoyed chatting to Christine about the Penn Yan area and things to check out and do, as well as just chatting to get to know each other. Christine is the ultimate bed and breakfast host. I was lucky to be a long term apartment renter, as I was working 5 minutes away at UR Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for 8 months. It was so convenient to have dedicated driveway parking leading to a private entrance (up many windy wood stairs) to my secure locked entry door. You will have a small seating/reading/TV area. Full stocked kitchen. Your private en suite bathroom is well designed with window air. Heat in winter. There's a good water pressured shower. It has a feminine style & is super roomy. You will have space for all your girl or boy stuff to enjoy self care on your days off. The bed is top of the line. My wife and I stayed at Aubergine for a wedding weekend and had the most perfect time! We were pleasantly greeted by Christine, the owner, with her adorable dog. The house was immaculately clean and very historic: it has a French vibe that was executed well. The little details like wood accents, wood doors, original craftsmanship, etc. were preserved with such care. Christine's cooking was to DIE for! She utilizes local ingredients to create some great dishes. We had such a great time, and can't wait to come back. If we're ever in Penn Yan, we're staying at Aubergine without a doubt.
