Applebee's Grill + Bar

It was such a nice first date in this town! So much nicer than Indianapolis. In my opinion haha. Highly recommend the 2 for $25 meal!

Applebees in Edinburgh IN. Bad service! I ordered ribs, they were undercooked and very hard. The waiter couldn’t be found. So I told the hostess and she responded: “I can’t do anything about it” so I told her to tell the waiter. I found another waiter and he changed my plate to another set of hard ribs… I was unable to bite the meat out of the bones. They were so hard that it was difficult to cut them with the knife! I asked them to put them in a to go box and call it good. The waiter said he would take them out of the check. When he brought the check he charged for the mashed potatoes because I nibbled on them…

I don't know about the other review but we were super quick to be served and food was hot and fresh when it came put (only like a 10 minute wait or so). The all you can eat chicken was fire even the leftovers🐔 🔥 my only mistake was my lightweight ares getting a corona lol. Service was nice and I'm pretty sure I didn't tip and if so I apologize because this was good service.

I came in yesterday (1/19/26) at 1pm for lunch and left around 2:30 to 3:00, at the time I thought the service, the food, and the atmosphere were great. I had the chicken fettuccine pasta and it tasted great at the time. But starting at midnight I’ve had pretty bad food poisoning and have been battling it all day. I don’t hold any malice towards you guys but I feel like this must be said to help you your overall service in the future.

I have been thinking about whether to write this review for weeks, and I finally decided I couldn’t stay silent after such a horrible experience. In my 55 years, I have never witnessed an employer speak to an employee the way I did at Applebee’s. What I saw and heard was shocking and completely unacceptable, especially in a professional workplace. A woman, who I later learned was named Rachel, was screaming at an employee in the kitchen. She was aggressively yelling about something involving her son coming in to eat at the restaurant. The level of anger was disturbing. I clearly heard her call the employee “stupid.” I was honestly shaken by how vicious she sounded. I am a grown man, and even I was uncomfortable sitting there listening to someone be verbally attacked like that. I can only i
