Antioch Pizza Shop - McHenry, IL

Have ordered here a few times now. Thin crust pizza is always good. Tonight my wife and I each got a strombli. The best Stromboli I've had since I left the East Coast. Wife got their traditional, I made my own from a long list of ingredients. Both came with like a pt size container of pizza/marinara sauce and it was cut into pieces similar to a taven style pie. Staff is always very friendly, I highly reccomend.

We had a second episode of our cheese falling off the pizza & out of the box today…IMMEDIATELY after leaving a poor review I got a phone call with an apology & an offer to remake the pizza & drive it to us himself! (We found out it is delivered by DoorDash, not Antioch pizza staff) Now THAT is great customer service!!! The pizza is delish so we ate it anyway but truly appreciate the offer, care & kindness! We need more businesses like this!! Thank you!

We ordered 5 pizzas on NYE. it said it would be an hour. After an hour and a half we called and they said they were ok the way. The lettuce got wilted and ruined one pizza. But the rest were fine. The manager then called me back to confirm we got our order. We understood it was a very busy evening. But the part that stood out was the manager calling to make sure we were good to go. That was above and beyond and you don't find that a lot In today's service industry.

I went there in the evening after pulling an on call job during the dinner hour. I loved the price point 2 pizza slices and a large drink cup for $7. Also, I,like just about every other reviewer had the sausage pizza. Chunks of sausage were big, which I like. The pizza itself was not the thinnest I've ever had but it was not bad by any stretch of the imagination. Will definitely go again if in the area.

My review is only based on the pizza as I did carry out order. Im newer to the area and had heard Antioch pizza is a must try. However, I wasn't that impressed. The ingredients felt low quality compared to some of the other pizza places around the area. Not sure if we caught it in a bad night but I don't think we will order again when there are better options for the same price.
