Amazing Grace Restaurant

I say this without hyperbole or exaggeration; this meal is the best thing I’ve eaten in Vicksburg. The smothered porkchop with rice & gravy, collard greens, stewed okra & tomatoes, with a surprise helping of peach cobbler was all amazing! Plus very affordable The service is friendly and attentive. You can seat and be served or order at the counter. The parking lot is small and a bit awkward but there ample street parking available off Washington if it’s full. Go eat here! Can’t wait to try the other daily specials.

If you’re anywhere near town, you have to stop by Amazing Race. This place lives up to its name from the moment you walk in. The service alone sets the bar—everyone is friendly, and genuinely cares about your experience. The cooks even step out to check on your food personally, which tells you everything you need to know about how much pride they put into what they serve. The price is reasonable to and very fair. Now the real star? The onion rings. I’m not exaggerating when I say they’re easily the best in Mississippi. Perfect crunch, perfect seasoning—just unreal. I’d come back for those alone. Breakfast? Also a win. Everything tastes fresh and cooked just right. Amazing Race is absolutely worth the visit. If you’re in town and skip it, you’re missing out.

Go. Seriously, just go. The food was divine! And the service was friendly and fast. We left because they didn’t start serving lunch for another half hour but turned around and went back bc we knew we would think about it all day if we didn’t. We had the smothered pork chop, hamburger steak, macaroni, collard greens and rice and gravy - plus sweet tea and peach cobbler all for $15 a piece! I will 100% be back!

This is a quaint little restaurant with tons of love and soul pouring out of that kitchen. I don't normally write reviews but felt this place needed one. *PLEASE DON'T JUDGE THIS RESTAURANT BASED ON MENU PICS* I went in there completely set on shrimp poboy. I ended up getting their daily special, which consisted of pork steak, cabbage, broccoli rice casserole, cornbread and cake; all for $15. Man oh man was this food so great, I had to ask the cooks come out so I could shake their hands. Please hurry up and get to Amazing Grace for an Amazing lunch with some serious soul. Thanks again.

We found this place while passing through on a road trip. We are SO GLAD we did!! Great food. We had fried green tomatoes, chicken gizzards, rice & gravy, and the chicken tenders. Ate our fill and the service was excellent! We will be back!!
