Drove all the way from Chesapeake, VA just to see this place (yes,seriously) after it was recommended to me. LOVE everything about it- the creative drinks (I had the mars attacks latte), the unique atmosphere, and obviously the celebrity herself, Cosmo the cafe cat. Perfect place to chill and work on my alien themed WIP story and will definitely try to come back

Such a cool spot! Probably the most unique themed cafe I’ve been to. Not overwhelming but relaxing and interesting. I ordered an iced caramel latte and it was delicious! Creamy and flavorful. While I waited for my drink I could browse a variety of items from local vendors or sit on pretty couches. I’ll definitely visit again next time I come down to Hatteras!

For the past two weeks, I've been on a delightful adventure at Alien Java, and let me tell you, it's been nothing short of magical! Not only do I get to hang out with the cutest cat ever, but I also indulge in the most incredible coffees, particularly my absolute favorite: the hazelnut oat iced latte. The atmosphere is just electric—the moment you step inside, you feel the warm and welcoming vibe that makes it truly special. I’m going to miss this place so much until I return to Frisco! It’s the perfect spot for sparking great conversations, getting work done, and, of course, showering that lovable cat with affection. Plus, the amazing artwork by local artists on display is simply stunning, and you can even snag some quirky alien swag! This place has captured my heart! ❤️✨

I was visiting the area for vacation and was staying across the street from where Alien Java was. I definitely recommend! The staff was super nice, coffee drinks were reasonably priced, and good! We got the Callisto Coffee and an iced latte, both great options! The atmosphere was fun and unique, and I love that they paid homage to the former UFO House that was there.

My husband and I love finding local coffee shops where ever we go. We have frequented many different coffee shops on Hatteras Island while vacationing. After going to Alien Java, it is hands down our #1 for coffee shops on the island. Even when we are back home we talk about Alien Java and how much we miss the coffee and the atmosphere and the amazing, sweet workers. The vibe is unmatched! It is such a welcoming, cozy feeling walking in. The wonderful women who work there make feel like you're family and you belong there. It makes you want to go back again and again! The bonus is Cosmo! Their adorable cafe kitty!
