Alaska Beach House

We were in Homer two days in mid July and stayed in the Bear's Den at the Alaska Beach House. Our welcome by staff (Claudia) was warm and helpful. Contact via text and phone with the owner (Cammaron) made us feel we had made the right choice! We enjoyed the décor of the room, views from our private deck, and the deck overlooking the water. The weather was beautiful both days! It was such a quiet, peaceful place, we actually stayed "on site" for our last evening in Homer just to enjoy it. Thanks for the memories, Alaska Beach House!

This place is amazing. The location is great. Waking up and being able to enjoy a private and quiet view of the ocean while enjoying a cup of coffee. It’s a short distance to anywhere you would like to go. And then when you return you get to see eagles. The owners were wonderful in every way. I had considered booking elsewhere at a place in town that boasted the best view. When I ate at that place I indefinitely decided that I was so glad I didn’t fall for it and found this hidden gem. (PS. I was a guest in 2016 and ever since I’ve been meaning to leave a good review. Not having a full breakfast didn’t bother me any, your graciousness to me and my son was far superior then any full service breakfast ever could be. We were the ones who missed our flight )

We stayed two nights at The Alaska Beach House and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were originally booked in the Orca Room, which was pretty much just a room. Since we were near season's end, we were able to upgrade to the Kachemak Room, a spacious suite with ocean view. In addition to the various amenities, there was easy access to a communal sun deck on the bluff overlooking the bay and a fire pit, stocked with plenty of wood and ingredients for making s'mores.||||The best location on the sight was called the Eagles (sic) Nest (so named because a family of eagles nests in trees just above) and was perched on the bluff next to the sun deck. Even with the private deck overlooking the bay, I can't imagine that it offered much more than our wonderful suite. Third and fourth in line were units

I’ve stayed in most of the hotels and Inns in Homer each summer while my husband fishes. My favorite place so far is The Alaska Beach House. We stayed in “The Captain Quarters” room which was large, nicely decorated, quality bedding and a fantastic view of the bay. I couldn’t have been more pleased! All rooms have a view of the bay. Highly recommend! I loved it!

My husband and I were delighted by our room in this guest house on a bluff over Kachemak Bay, with a fantastic view of the Kenai Mountains. This large room has huge, opening windows, allowing one to hear the waves lapping the pebble strewn beach. An easy flight of steps leads down to the beach, adjacent to the famous spit. A bald eagle perched on the spruce tree just off the attached deck. The room was hung with a trio of Brian Birdsall lithographs of Denali. Linens on the king size bed were immaculate. We only wished we could stay the entire summer.
