Academy of Cream

It was my daughter‘s birthday and when I asked her where she wanted to go for her birthday, she said we have to go to academy of cream. This was my first visit and as soon as we walked in, Marc was super friendly and nice. The empanadas were amazing literally go for the empanadas. I don’t care how far you have to travel. It’s worth the drive. Also, it doesn’t get better than ice cream made with real ingredients. It’s the best ice cream I’ve had in Dunedin.

Delightful discovery for me, recommended by a client. The ice cream and shake is so delicious and creamy. You can taste that it's made with quality ingredients. The owner and the person working were really nice and fun to talk to. I got a pint and milkshake to go. The milkshake was gone in less than 6 minutes; it didn't even make it home. The brain freeze was so worth it. 😆

I found this gem on Facebook and everyone raved about how amazing the ice cream is!!! Well let me tell you everyone is spot on. From the moment we walked in we had a warm greeting from the owner Mark. Kailyn (I hope I spelled it right) was also super!!! They let us sample so many different flavors and enjoyed telling us about them. There was too many that were so good it was hard to choose. The ice cream is so creamy and full of flavor, it’s the best ice cream we have found in Florida hands down. Here’s the funny part as we were talking I asked how he got started in the ice cream business and come to find out he is from my home town!!! I loved his ice cream back then and love it now! I was craving empanadas and was surprised when this place popped up on Google! Mark, the owner, is one of the most personable business owners I’ve ever met. He took the time to explain where the empanadas and ice cream come from. We went back for seconds of the beef empanadas, they absolutely exceeded my expectations. We also tried several ice cream flavors, but the mint chocolate was hands down my favorite. It genuinely reminded me of what ice cream tasted like when I was a kid. This spot is officially going into our regular rotation for both food and dessert. Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect. Mark, the owner, brought a great addition to the community. Academy of Cream serves an unusual yet exceptional combination of items including Yoder's Amish ice cream from Sarasota and homemade empanadas (a family recipe). No wonder he sells out. We will be back!
