3 Nelsons Sandwich & Ice Cream Shop

We stopped here because the pictures of the food looked great, but we had a horrible experience. The place is very dirty and unkept. No air conditioning. Impatient cashier who took our order wrong. 2 burgers, one fry, 2 drinks and 1 shake for $40, which we thought was super expensive. Rude server who threw our food down on the table. The burgers were small and tasted average. The fries were cold and we didn’t get the other milkshake we ordered and weren’t offered to make it right for their mistake. Would not recommend or come back again.

Good burgers & shakes!! We enjoyed the double patty burgers, the Philly cheese steaks, the fries and the absolutely delicious strawberry shake and banana pudding shake!! This restaurant is a perfect example of how appearances mean nothing when good food and acceptable levels of service are provided !! When our group walked in, we saw the undone floors, walls and tables screaming for some upkee and we got nervous, crossed our fingers and just prayed that our fellow Google reviewers did not lead us to disappointment!!!! And when the food arrived and we lapped it all up quietly and lifted our heads to give each other a nod of approval, I applauded every Google local guide that painstakingly dedicate time to help their fellows find gems like these!!! The food is pretty good. You get a lot to eat for what you order. The ice cream is tasty, especially on a hot day. The floor is partially painted and chipped concrete that is usually a bit sticky and slippery, so be careful. The building doesn’t appear to be kept up inside, so it’s not the nicest dining experience to take someone to, but if you are just looking for a bite to eat, it’s great.

I found this place as we were traveling through, so we grabbed burgers to go. WOW! Everything was absolutely delicious. So delicious, in fact, that my husband insisted on stopped again on our way back home. Highly recommend the bacon cheeseburger with fries!

We usually get great food here. I ordered 4 hamburgers. 2 plain for my dogs. They got toasted buns. 2 regular for the wife and I. We got cold buns that was not toasted. It was bland. And there was so much ketchup, it got everywhere. I think they smashed all the grease out the burger. I broke the 2 up for my dogs, and my hands were still dry. Add a lil salt and pepper please. That hot dog was not it either. $43 Let's do better people.
