If you're looking for a sensory experience you’ll never forget, this is the place for you. The moment we walked in, we were smacked in the face with the unmistakable scent of rotten eggs — think sulfur meets despair. It was like the house had taken a long bath in hard-boiled egg water and never dried off. But wait, there's more! The water itself smelled worse. Every time we turned on a faucet, it was like the plumbing was possessed by the smell of sewage and rotten eggs. Brushing our teeth felt like a fear factor challenge. I wouldn’t wish that shower experience on my worst enemy. We reached out to the hosts, but they apparently entered witness protection the moment we checked in. Radio silence. Not a text, not a "Sorry about the stench," . Just pure, unbothered absence. Bottom line: un

Absolutely beautiful lake view access! The back deck was amazing to watch the sunsets! The inside is spacious & clean! The slide was a bonus & all ages enjoyed from 20 yr old to 75 yr olds! Easy access to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg! Definitely would stay here again!

No issue with the water. We were told prior to our visit that it was well-water and we stopped at the grocery store on the way in and picked up gallons of distilled water for drinking. We did make an effort to remember to talk off our jewelry when washing our hands because the minerals in the water could temporarily discolor metal. (All

Beautiful view of a beautiful lake and mountains. Short drive to Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge for bad weather days. Enjoyed the view from the spacious deck. First time I have been to Douglas Lake it was great.

The lodge was amazing and perfect for our girls getaway weekend. The views of the lake from all the rooms were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. We took a cab to Gatlinburg for a day trip which was really fun and did some great hiking. Can't wait to go back!
