The Smokey Q Company

In the seven years since I’ve moved to East Tennessee, this is hands down the best BBQ that I’ve found. I grew up in Texas and lived for a few years in Memphis. I’ve also had the opportunity to eat great BBQ at various places around the country and other parts of the world. The food at Smokey Q is all made from scratch to include the pickles. The pulled pork was moist and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of smoke. They had a variety of homemade BBQ sauces to choose from that were excellent. The green beans were made from scratch and the potato salad tasted just like my mom used to make. Although I had to make a 45 minute drive to get there, it was totally worth it. I will certainly be back.

What a great little Q restaurant!!! The folks running this place are passionate and skilled in what they do! We had a brisket sandwich with red slaw and baked beans, and a pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and green beans. Everything was delicious. It feels good to know there’s still kind people in this world who care about giving good service. Well done, Smokey Q!

When you do a Google Review for a place to eat and it has a 4.9 you have to try it. Well The Smokey Q Company lived up to its rating. I had the Ribs and added brisket. Smoked Mac & Cheese and baked beans. The ribs were unbelievably good and tender. Especially tender. The Smoked Mac & Cheese was excellent. Don’t let the storefront appearance exterior mislead you. Smokey Q is excellent.

Great people and great BBQ a little off the beaten path but great food. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We both wanted turkey but got there late and there was only enough for 1 dinner. That worked out because the brisket was very good.

We had the pulled pork and smoked turkey platters and everything was delicious! Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for some good bbq
