江南雅厨 JiangNan Delicacy

JiangNan Delicacy appears to be a newer addition to the Sunnyhills Shopping Center. Based on online photos, it looked quite popular when it first opened, with long lines. The cuisine leans toward a sweeter, more sweet-and-sour profile, which is different from the more commonly seen Sichuan style, so we decided to give it a try. We visited on a Sunday. The restaurant was nicely decorated, and there was no line or wait to be seated. Overall, the dishes were about what we expected, with the exception of the fish and rice cake soup, which was disappointing. While it may be worth checking out once, we don’t plan to return, as none of the dishes really stood out. Additionally, the food was noticeably too sweet for our taste and from a healthy-diet perspective.

Seven of us went there for dinner on Friday, 5/23/2025. We made a 6 o'clock appointment so even though there were many people waiting to get in we had no problem being seated. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The rest room is clean. The service personnel seemed inexperienced. We ordered a bunch of dishes. The food came too quickly and there was no space on the table to put them. The food was good but nothing spectacular.

The Yangzhou fried rice and the pork belly steamed in lotus leaves were both very good, though a bit pricey. The service was terrible. We arrived at 11 a.m., right when they opened. The two people at the door gave us a sour face ,pointed to a table, and told us to sit down by ourself . We ordered our own food using a QR code, and when the side dishes were delivered, they placed them on the table and left without a word , I thought it wrong order so asked him what is this , then he said free with the sour face . The four waiters chatted at the counter , never pay attention to us or other table . ( only 3 tables anyway ) When paying the bill, they asked for a tip of 18%, lol

Tried this new restaurant that was viral on Red Note. I came with my husband during their soft opening, and the whole experience beat my expectations! The atmosphere is so nice, very classy, delicate and elegant decoration and atmosphere. There were also 2 artists playing traditional music - very impressed! The food is amazing, highly recommend sweet and sour fish, sticky rice cake, braised river eel, and sweet braised lotus roots. Will come back again when it officially opens!

I had a wonderful dining experience at JiangNan Delicacy! The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true taste of Suzhou cuisine!
