The Arcadia location has better quality and service. Rowland location sold out on a lot of items and only one employee was working the front. I found something that looked like a strand of hair in their tofu. The employee felt sorry for her limited English, but we were patient. Their sauce station ran out of sauce bowls but instead of cleaning more, she gave us plastic cups in replace for sauces. Overall, the management needs to improve their business. The experience was a complete 180 and I was surprised.

I absolutely love Malatang! It’s one of my favorite spots when I’m craving something spicy, flavorful, and customizable. You get to pick your own ingredients — from noodles and veggies to meats and tofu — and they cook it in a delicious, rich broth that’s bursting with flavor. The spice level is totally up to you, which makes it perfect whether you like mild or super spicy. The place is always clean, staff are helpful, and it’s such a fun experience every time. Highly recommend if you want something unique, healthy, and satisfying

I found a bug in my food, not the type of bug you find on veggie. Will not eat here ever again.

Friday 5/16/25 Lunch at YGF Malatang with my son. Pick your items, noodle, and soup and price is based on the weight ($14.99/ lb with membership purchase good for a year $10.99/lb) of items on a large bowl. Then your bowl goes into kitchen for chef to cook it and service staff would bring it to your table. It’s soup base (bone soup base & tom yom soup base) were savory with full of herbs and spices and delicious. I bought/joined the membership $20/ year since I’m local and enjoyed the foods selection and the savory soup base. The service staffs were working hard, attentive, and serving customers quickly. I recommend trying out this restaurant. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast

I love this place. Every time I’m back home, I have to get some malatang here. The staff are all extremely nice and casual with customers. The food is excellent with three great soup base options and tons of fresh selections for the pot. Personally, can’t help but to pile the lamb and quail eggs. The spiciest beef bone (my favorite btw) could be a bit spicier but that’s personal preference and it’s still phenomenal. Love this place!
