Customer Reviews
It’s amazing that this place is re-opened after a brief period of shutdown by LA County Health Department. It shows the owner’s persistence in this very competitive area. I was predicting that this place would be permanently closed and I was wrong. So today my wife and I decided to give it a try. Honestly, the place is decent and the service is good, not many people are eating here, might be information delay or still have some concerns. The food is not my favorite but they are okay, attached are some pictures:
The place is clean, and the staff were really nice—like, they actually seemed happy to help. Tried the泡椒三脆面, and it was such a good mix of textures—crunchy, chewy, just satisfying. The 豪华酸辣粉? Oh man, so hearty, and they don't skimp on the toppings at all. Portions felt generous for the price too. Parking was easy, which is always a plus because, well, you know how some places make you hike from your car. Wouldn't call it fancy or anything, but it felt cozy and worth every penny.
I got the crispy trio noodles and didn't love it. Not bad, just not how I like my noodles personally. Flavor was okay. The restaurant was strangely warm and the water was luekwarm too, so I got a more refreshing drink (jasmine tea, which was pretty good). There was only one waiter though, so it was sometimes hard to get his attention, although the orders did arrive quickly. I'd be willing to come back to try a different dish, but my friends said they didn't love their orders either.
It’s pre-made food, so I didn’t expect much. The spicy vermicelli was surprisingly good, but the manager’s service ruined it. I waited over 20 minutes for a refill on the vermicelli while he ignored me and chatted with friends. Good flavor, bad attitude — a typical prefab meal experience.
We hear about the incident but still decided to give it a try. The sour and spicy noodles is much different from the instant noodle version of it, at least overall tates are pretty much the same. We also tried the pork feet rice while the skin are marinated well and tender easy to bite but the rice itself is pretty disappointed as they used the Thai rice(the long one) not the normal Chinese rice. Also, the sauce itself doesn't have much flavor but the saltyness. Much room for improvement.
