Zouji Dumpling House

This is truly a hidden Gem situated on the North Shore of Long Island. The soup dumplings are handmade by the sweet lady that’s always welcoming you with a smile. We also enjoyed the Peking Duck, beef with scallions, pea leaves sautéed with garlic. It’s always the same waiter when we go and he’s very nice as well. When you order the duck they offer you a complimentary soup prepared with the bones. It was so tasty! Especially in a cold winter afternoon. The waiter is very attentive and comes by often and clears our table and offers clean plates. I definitely recommend coming here! We keep returning because it’s so delicious and the prices are so reasonable.

Authentic Chinese food. Home cooking feeling! We’ve been Zouji many times and always love the food and service. Today we went for my friend birthday, the restaurant noticed and made birthday noodle as a surprise for us per Chinese tradition. Really appreciate we have Zouji in the neighborhood. And our waiter Xiao Liu is super sweet and professional.

This restaurant serves authentic chinese cuisine mainly inspired by northern cuisine but there are also some dishes from southern Chinese cuisine. The sweet/sour fried pork (guo bao rou) and stir fried string beans were the standout dishes for me. They had great flavor and it would be hard finding better versions of these dishes on LI. The soup dumplings were alright, so was the peking duck and pork kidney. Service is friendly and it is a quaint little restaurant with tasteful decor on the inside.

The most underrated restaurant in the area if you’re looking for authentic Chinese cuisine. The service can’t be beat and the food comes out fast and fresh at the right times. Have to get try the Guo Bao Rou which is a crispy pork, salt and pepper fish fillet, fried rice, and soup dumpling. Just a few amongst a loaded menu.

Got 2 lunch specials to go- ribs in brown sauce and fish w cumin with wonton soup. Wow, the flavors were delicious! It's definitely more authentic than the "normal" Chinese fast food places and very reasonably priced as well. I was expecting my fish to have a thick breading swimming in a goey sauce, but it was lightly breaded fillets with dry sauteed onions and fragrant cumin which is what I much prefer! My only gripe is the portions are small. Especially since it tasted so good, I wanted more. Will definitely be returning... Update: Subsequently returned for dine in... loved every dish.
