Zhang's Chinese Kitchen

I don't understand the bad reviews. I've eaten at Zhang's for years with my parents and it's always been good. They moved away years ago, but I was in Ogden and decided to eat here. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken dinner and it was just as delicious as I remember. Service was great, too! I highly recommend Zhang's.

I enjoy low quality greasy Chinese food at times but this is something else. I ordered the dinner combo with honey crispy pork. I was told there’s no pork and only chicken. The food came out with hair in it. Then the chicken was so hard to chew and came out really dry and stringy that it was close to inedible. They told me they could remake it but it would be the same. So they replaced it with Beef in garlic sauce. Which was okay but not good. Their other location in Ogden is far better. Not sure what’s happening at this establishment. Overall, would not come here again.

I ordered pork chow mein and this is what I got, which is definitely not chow mein (noodles). I was the only customer there so they didn’t get the order wrong. Happened to someone else 5 years ago apparently according to the reviews. It would have been okay if it at least tasted good, but what I got was bland.

We ordered takeout on 4/18 and spent $130 for our family of six—and it was, without a doubt, the worst food we’ve ever had. None of us could get past the first bite. The chicken had a strong chemical taste, almost like it was fried in cleaning solution, and some pieces were even raw. Everything was just awful. Please, save your money and your stomach—DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Never had such a horrible experience before until now. After being told multiple times my food was about ready and waiting an additional hour and a half past when my food was supposed to ready. My soups, egg rolls, and shrimps are cold. My rice was room temperature if that. I understand it's the end of the year, but how do you not have like a heat warmer or something at least?! Worst experience I've ever had, and I'm absolutely fuming!
