I was first told about this place in 2019 and I didn’t immediately go but fast forward to now 2025 any and every time I’m off work and can make it there I go! Customer service is always top tier. It’s a little hole in the wall that serves delicious food for decent prices and you never leave disappointed. They have some of the best grits I’ve had in the area/ in my life and they have real pancakes not little frozen discs that you get from other places. If you have a chance to go and you’re reading this trying to decide. GO! Don’t walk, run!

Hidden Gem in Capitol Heights! Young’s Eat In and Take Out might look like a humble hole-in-the-wall, but don’t let appearances fool you — this place delivers big on flavor and service. I stopped in for breakfast and was genuinely impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was warm and welcoming, and the prices were more than fair. It looks like it’s run by a veteran, and you can feel the pride and care in every part of the experience. Small businesses like this deserve our support — I’ll definitely be coming back!

TRY THE SHRIMP AND GRITS Okay, I had to get that out of the way but holy heck they were the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. There is so much flavor from all the diner grease and love they put in it. I also got the french toast platter and it was delicious! I could have ordered everything twice, I just loved it. Definitely will be going back.

This is not my first time eating here but my first time taking the pictures and doing a review. I’m usually very satisfied when I order from here. The food is fresh and seasoned well. The only thing I don’t like is their home fries just a lack of color and seasoning. I believe they could do a better job with that being as though everything else is truly excellent. Other than that never have any complaints and definitely a great breakfast go to when your hungry. 😊

Love this place. Some of the nicest staff members you will ever encounter. Great place to grab a bite to eat on the morning. Shrimp and grits is something I would highly recommend
