Don’t order the meatloaf or zucchini. The worst meatloaf… smells sour and seemed to be old. The soups were good though!

I ordered an American cheese omelette. Received a cheddar cheese omelette. Not the end of the world. Spoke with the owner who was willing to make the correct one but as the person i was with was done eating, I didn’t want to wait so I told him not to bother. It was fine. He brought me a new omelette as we were walking out. When i said it was fine, i didn’t want it, he told me “get out and don’t come back.” Not a problem as I won’t be back. There was no reason for him to get nasty and yell at me in front of other patrons.

The Yorktown Diner is truly something special. The food is always fresh, delicious, and exactly what you want a diner meal to be — comforting, generous, and made with care. Whether I’m stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or a late-night bite, everything is consistently amazing. But what really makes this place stand out is the people. My wife and I have come here for dinner quite a few times now. We enjoy the food as it is fresh and tastes very good. They also have a specials menu that they change every once in a while. This time, we ordered the matzo ball soup to start, and then had a chicken panini and fettuccine chicken Alfredo. The chicken panini was very good and you could taste the fresh ingredients that they use to make it. The fettuccine chicken Alfredo was very good. It’s my favorite type of pasta and I have had it at a few different places. But this was definitely a decent fettuccine chicken Alfredo’s that I’ve had in a while.

I have visited this place 3 times for breakfast and lunch and dinner. All 3 times I was very satisfied with the food and service. It is located in the heart of Yorktown Heights in the Commerce Street area. Parking can be tight during peak times but there is plenty of parking nearby. I love the little things this place does that add up to a quality diner experience. Thank you for taking great care and displaying the flag properly. The bendy straws are a great touch. Great selection of marmalade on the table. One small detail that goes a very long way with customers is Heinz Ketchup. We miss it and it is definitely worth the little bit extra. When the ketchup is a little off - it makes the food sometimes seem a little off. Looking forward to coming back. Check this place out.
