Absolutely amazing sushi! Superb service and a bustling atmosphere. The spicy crispy tuna, sashimi platter and black dragon roll was some of the best sushi we’ve had. Great experience!

2/14/26 Had an early no reservation valentines date with my husband and Yonsei was more than we expected. Figured coming early around 330 on a Saturday would be fine with no rsvp…we’re lucky we were sat since the place was already booked! Thankfully we came at the perfect time and had a stellar meal and overall dining experience. The fish is so fresh, delicious, beautifully and promptly served. Highly recommend the Toro nigiri or sashimi, and crispy tuna appetizer if available. The island/reggae music and bustling vibe of a well run restaurant were well received by us both. Cute little sushi spot in Thornton - I stopped in around 9pm one night when I was craving sushi and sat at the bar. I had their yellowtail and jalapeño and a sushi roll and they were both great. My server was super cool and gave me some otger great recommendations that I tried - mackerel and then a little individual role with Yellowtail, jalapeño and mango. I really liked both of them had never tried a fish cured the way the mackerel was. Will have to stop in again soon!

Yonsei is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Colorado. And we’ve tried everywhere. Fresh fish, exceptional service, intimate setting, and our favorite place for lunch or dinner. Regardless of the trendy places in Denver, this will always be our first choice. And who would’ve thought? Specially being nestled in the suburbs. If you’re contemplating on where to go, this is your sign to give this place a shot.

We eat here regularly. A must if your in the north metro area. The fish is always extremely fresh, they have a nice variety of menu items, and the staff that runs Yonsei is amazing. I highly recommend giving it a try. I suggest trying the Sashimi as well as the Red Samurai roll.
