Yen Ching

On the suggestion of a long-term friend, we met up at Yen Ching. It was good, but not the best Asian I've had. The prices were kinda high until you realize this restaurant is located in Ozark, along US 65, on the way to Branson. The food was ok, the service was really good, but with all the places in the greater Springfield area, I doubt I'll be back soon.

Thankful to have found a good spot for Chinese food around here. Nice atmosphere. Friendly workers. I forgot to take a photo of our food. We got a combination with king pao beef and I think sweet and sour chicken. It was good.

Service was fast. The lunch menu includes soup and springroll, so it's a good value. I had the sesame chicken and added a side of vegetables. Very tasty

I have loved this place for nearly 40 years, starting with their old location in Springfield and now at their place in Ozark. Their hot and sour soup is the best around (especially great on cold days), they have actual hot mustard (not the little packets), and their house beef is one of my favorite things I've ever eaten. The restaurant is relatively quiet and not too brightly-lit. You can definitely have quiet conversations. If you've read any of my other reviews you'll find that one of the main reasons I write reviews is because of good service. The people at Yen Ching have always been very nice to me, and the servers are pretty timely in taking orders and refilling drinks. Give them a try.

Found this place on our way home. Restaurant is located in a shopping center and shares parking with other businesses. Depending on how busy the businesses are determines whether you're going to find parking. Exterior of the restaurant matches the interior which looked upscale, classy, and absolutely beautiful. The hostess was pleasant and seated us right away. The space is divided into two (2) main sections consisting of bar seating, 4 person table seating, booth seating, and large party seating (5+). We were seated in the section to the right. Our server was nice, but it took a while before we even knew who he was...about a good 15 minutes. It was busy so maybe that was the issue 🤷‍♀️ When he finally arrived, he was nice. We ordered an order of crab rangoon, fried dumplings, Thai shrimp
