Yama Zakura

Been going here for consistently great sushi for many years. Great waitstaff! Lobster Bomb sushi is so delicious! It can get a little loud but bearable.

This place is a neighborhood gem. Great place form date night or any night really. The sushi is prepared exquisitely. I’m still making my way through the menu, but everything I’ve had is really fresh and they have great presentation. The gyoza (fried) is excellent. Cocktails have a generous pour. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. They offer take out as well. Love this place!

We were really disappointed with our recent visit. The restaurant was very quiet, yet it took an unusually long time for our food to come out. This was especially frustrating given how few customers were there at the time. We used to be huge fans of Yama Zakura, particularly during Covid, when the quality and service were consistently great. Unfortunately, it feels like the restaurant has gone downhill since then. The long wait and overall experience just didn’t live up to what we remembered or expected. We hope this is something management can address, but as it stands, this visit was a letdown.

Every bit of the food was exceptional, from the miso soup to the dessert, with maki rolls in between. The salmon sashimi was incredibly fresh and tender. We will definitely be back for more and to try the chocolate soufflé this time, so we can order it before the meal to come out 45 minutes later. I hear it's ridiculously good.

We ordered the Brady Roll and the Belichick roll. Both were delicious!! Loved the atmosphere here. Very lively and welcoming ❤️
