TKU Thiru Kuppusamy northborough was a delightful discovery for us. This was our first visit, and we happened to stop by accidentally during our vacation to Boston—and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We tried the mutton chops, crab masala, king fish fry, regular fish fry, and chicken Pallipalayam, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced. The seafood stood out for its freshness and perfect seasoning, while the chicken Pallipalayam had that rustic, traditional taste that’s hard to find done this well. What truly elevated the experience was the outstanding hospitality by Vicky, our server. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. His service and recommend
This is a truly authentic South Indian restaurant and such a welcome addition to the otherwise largely drab Indian food scene in Boston. Located in a relatively large space near a pretty lake in Northborough, they get a lot of flavours spot on. The Biriyani and generally anything mutton is excellent here. The soups were generally a watery broth full of flavour as you would expect to find in south India. The porotta was good and prawn village curry with the whole peppercorns was very good. Dosa was pretty good - not spectacular. The filter coffee too was good. Staff in general were pleasant and happy to explain stuff - so nothing to complain here. Now for some grouses - the nannari sarbath was too sweet - I was delighted to see it on the menu but the sweetness was a killer - maybe they wi
We had a group of 5 and our first time here. Just a comment about the excellent service. He was just so nice, but didn't catch his name. Everyone was friendly and attentive. As for the food, I actually don't like any spice and got the pasta Alfredo lol. I did try for my very first time a couple of small pieces of the Indian foods. The spice level was exactly what was expected on the different plates. We ordered a lot of little stuff. Everyone enjoyed their meals and took all the leftovers home. The resteraunt was really big and a separate room more for the bar feel. It was extremely cold outside and late at night so not crowded. Give it a try.
Went an early afternoon and ordered one of each types of thalis (veg, chicken, mutton and fish) also ordered that days special chilli paneer. The chilli paneer was excellent. The veg thali was very limited in the type of items. The chicken thali is the best of all with everything tasting good. In fish and mutton thali the appetizers were good but the curries were on the sweeter side. I feel it is better to go à la carte rather than thalis. In drinks we ordered Amrut. It was good but very high priced.
The food we ordered was absolutely delicious! We started with the Village Style Chicken Gramathu Varuval (Bone-In) as an appetizer and the Kanyakumari Fish Fry (Pomfret) both were bursting with authentic South Indian flavors that instantly took me back home. We also ordered a variety of vegetarian dishes and every single one was amazing flavorful, fresh, and perfectly spiced. The Mutton Biryani was another highlight, rich in aroma and taste, cooked to perfection! The server and manager were so kind and attentive, taking their time to explain the menu and make sure we got to try their best recommendations. If you’re craving true Indian flavors with warm hospitality, TKU Kuppanna’s is definitely worth a visit. We loved everything about our experience here! 🌶🍛
