Xaymaca Fusion Kitchen (Jamaican &Peruvian )

My husband ( tru yaad mon, born and raised) and I went to Xaymaca Fusion Kitchen for our 1 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Awesome choice!!! Thank you so much, to Fox5 Lion Lunch Hour for the plug on this place!!! I watched that segment and finally made it! 😊 It was a vibe! Reggae music/videos playing low! Not a lot of guests for a Sunday evening which was perfect for the occasion. But they host events per the flyers on the windows. Probably cool. We ordered the curry chicken patties. They are DELICIOUS!! Thick and full of meat and flavor! Use the sauces, yum!!! Note: The patties are not "Jamaican" original style patties by appearance but the taste was SO outstanding! Try them! There was only 3 tables occupied. 2 tables with 2 (including ours) and 1 with 7. We waited for a while before we got our drinks. When the food came out, it was cold. The fries were hot. The waitress was very nice . Just couldn't understand why cold food with so little customers. The bathroom was clean but there was cocktail napkins instead of paper towels and very little toilet paper.

Ordered the Oxtail sandwich and a Jerk Chicken patty to go. The service was good and the workers were perfectly kind, but when I took my takeout five minutes down the road and opened it up, there was a big burnt streak on the coconut bun. I was still willing to give it a try though, but I found that there was an off-putting sweetness to their oxtail, and on top of that, the fries weren't hot and fresh, even with consideration for the takeout, not far away. The sandwich also had a kind of sad wilted looking lettuce piece in the middle I pulled out. Deconstructed the sandwich ultimately and ate the oxtail, but felt dissatisfied with the sandwich quality.

The food was amazing the chicken wings crisp and perfectly sauced. The burger is hand made, juciy flavorful. Service was amazing. Try the jerk wings and Rasta burger. All the sauces are fresh and authentic Jamaican and peruvian flavors.

A friend told us about this hidden gem in Ashburn and it did not disappoint. We get so bored with the same places and menu so this Peruvian-Jamaican fusion restaurant was so refreshing to our palate. We got the sampler and added a couple sides (rice and beans, plantains). It was very filling for the two of us. The ribs were our favorite but the other protein items were tasty. However, the service was the star of the show. The warm reception from the time we walked in, attentive service and friendly demeanor of the staff was very appreciated.
