Whit's Frozen Custard - Spring Hill

Full disclosure. I'm a self proclaimed ice cream snob. Coming from the Northeast, we didn't have frozen custard. We had good old fashioned, hand scooped, hard ice cream. I'm not fan of custard. The flavors are weak and it melts too fast. But ..I will say I was impressed with Whit's. It's the most dense custard I've had and the flavors are rich. Lots of options to mix toppings too. Service was pleasant. Parking was easy. The shop was smaller than I imagined, but it was fine for a midday treat with no wait. I think we'll be back soon.

I visited this ice cream shop today and had a really disappointing experience. I ordered a sundae for my 4-year-old, but was handed a plain cup of vanilla custard. I politely let the drive-through employee know that I had ordered a sundae and just needed sprinkles and a cherry added. Instead of fixing the mistake, she told me, “Unfortunately I can’t take the ice cream back. You’ll have to purchase another sundae at full price.” I asked if I really had to buy a brand-new sundae because they got the order wrong, and she simply said yes — another $5. That’s unacceptable customer service. Because of this, my family of five will not be returning. There are plenty of places that value their customers, and unfortunately this is not one of them

YUM! Located on Port Royal Rd in Spring Hill, TN behind Taco Bell. When we arrived there were several groups ahead of us waiting to order and several who had ordered and were waiting on their custard. You can order various sizes of cups or cones (see photo). They have cups of custard, sundaes (many topping choices), whitser’s (custard with mix ins), whitties (custard cookie sandwiches), etc. The line moved quickly, and they had our Almond Joy (flavor of the week-ends 6/25/24) small cup and small Mud Pie Whitser to us within a minute of ordering. The flavors were delicious. They have benches outside. They have a walk up window that is not currently being used.

This place is amazing. We go once a week and love it! A few weeks ago, we went here with my mother, who has dementia. She gets confused easily. Hannah at Whits’s took her time and great care of my Mom. Thank you Hannah for your patience and respect for my Mom.

Stopped by this place a Sunday afternoon Icecream 🍨 the Frozen 🥶 Custard🍦 flavor was great! We got their signature Whitser (Vanilla) w/ Bites (maybe cookie dough) on top. Overall, the tatse was good, definitely must try spot in Springhill 💯 Location: Its on Port Royal road next to Kroger.
