Whitman Public Library

Barbara and her team have provided a safe and fun destination for my autistic son Ryan for years. Ryan is always welcomed by name and with a feeling that they really care. He picks up on it and looks forward to every trip to Whitman Public Library. It's his favorite destination. Thanks to you all for creating such a warm, friendly and welcoming place to go for a kid with limited options.

What is not to love? Helpful and friendly staff, if what you need isn't here, you can put it on hold from other libraries, tons of programs for kids and adults...how can they ever THINK we could do without our beloved library? It's the best!

One of the best library experiences I have had since I was a little kid. They have a decent selection of movies and music, good selection of books, a great Children’s area along with knowledgeable staff that are always ready to help. Many events and activities especially for children in the summer time are huge points in a parent’s book :)

The Children's librarian, Miss Stephanie, is spectacular. She knows the children so well. During COVID, since we can't browse, she has picked out books for my kids. Every pick have been spot on!

Very quiet and welcoming environment. Good place to get work done. They have a big selection of books and also have computers available to library members. The public may get a guest pass that is active for 1 hour.
