Whiting Public Library

I've had nothing but good experiences at this library. The staff is so nice and helpful. I love that they have so many activities and events for the kids.

Whoever decided to remodel this historic space should be fired. They need a dress and conduct code that's enforced. Some of the staff are wonderful, though.

It is a nice place, but the young kids running around upstairs... they're noisy... I remember, when my daughter was still going to Whiting High School, they would expel the middle schools to the basement... the DESIGNATED childrens area... oh lord, they take up so many seats in the adult section...

This is the worst library (kids section) ever!!! The staff is rude and unprofessional. The staff, particularly the red head women with glasses are rude towards the African American children and they let the children hit each other without repercussion. I would not recommend sending your children to this library.

These kids are so loud. I remember when I was in elementary and middle school and we were not allowed to be up here. I completely understand they need a space to go after school but that’s exactly why the kid’s section exists downstairs
