Westfair Fish & Chips

Since 1985 I've been a big fan of Westfair Fish & Chips. Family owned and operated it is no suprise that this wonderful place, like no other, is still a main staple in the town of Westport. The success of this restaurant is a result of OUTSTANDING customer service and fresh "Ocean to plate seafood". Let's not forget that a business "is only as good as the people it hires". Currently there is another OUTSTANDING employee at the front counter answering phones, taking orders, packing and completing sales. Her name is Leyla. First impressions begin when the phone is answered. Leyla was perfect. A breathe of fresh air. Attentive, patient and focused as well as over-the-top friendly which is very important to me. Always a pleasant experience and always a 4 star Michelin meal at Westfair Fish & C

Little bit confused. I ordered the fried shrimp lunch special, which on your website says $10.50. When I go to pick it up, somehow the total is $14.98?? I'm not sure how you guys are charging tax, but CT meal tax rate is 7.35%. The total shouldn't have been anywhere near that. Maybe it was an honest mistake or your website doesn't reflect current pricing, but just wanted to make it known so it doesn't happen again/to other people.

Cash Only. Self-Service. All good. No over Fried. We had Fried Oyster, Steam mussels, fish and chips, Clam soup & Lobster Soup. All good. Will come back for Fried Oyster. Small sitting area. May need to wait for table.

I am originally from New Hampshire and grew up eating fried whole belly clams and other delicious fried seafood. I have not been able to find a good place in Norwalk, where I work, to get some fresh fried seafood. This place brought me right back to my childhood. The seafood was fresh, the breading was light, and the staff was beyond friendly. This is the place if you want fried seafood just make sure you bring cash. I highly recommend the whole belly clams in the fried shrimp. Oh, and don’t let me forget about the delicious onion rings.

Best seafood hands down, I’ve taken a date (my wife) to damn near all the top notch “competitors” over the years and I can confidently say Westfair is in another league. The food is head and shoulders superior to anything in the tri-state area. The closest comparison I can make is the 1996 Basketball Olympic team. Just can’t be beaten.
