Western Ocean Regional Access

Parking is $4/hr or $20 a day. For those of us that are local this hurts a little. We go less often now. It used to be free Mon-Thurs. You must pay now everyday April 1st through Sept 17th. 8am-6pm. Despite this, we visit the beach most often ar this access. There are lifeguards on duty until 6pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day. This is a little peace of mind, especially when you go to the beach with little ones. There are fairly nice bathrooms and they are cleaned regularly, and outdoor showers. There areas with covered picnic tables and 2 sand volleyball courts. The beach is usually clean and any trash is due to the human trash that are too lazy to clean up after themselves, since the entire length of the beach has a trash can and recycle bin every 20-30 feet attached to post along th

Easy and plenty of scan to pay parking. I got there before 8am to catch the sunrise so I didn't have to pay. They have showers and foot showers and clean bathrooms and when I was coming back they had workers cleaning everything! I walked to the pier and back about 2.7 miles round trip from here. Loved it!

I love EI. As a local, but not a Carteret County resident,I'd love a season pass for parking. I don't mind paying to keep the beaches safe and clean. I'd just like a better price to pay for the season.

Had a public baptism and the bathrooms the Pavillion area was so clean! God provided the space and they provided clean facilities! It was great! God is good all the time

Great beach, plenty of parking, clean bathrooms, life guards! What's not to love!
