West Public Library

The librarian is excellent!! She is friendly and always smiling!! She can answer any question you have! She leads the kids summer programs with student help. She keeps them organized and on top of things. She remembers everyone’s name! It is amazing!! This year she organized a group of girls who wanted to collect towels for the dog shelter. She is also the President of The History of West Museum !! She is involved and runs the monthly meetings professionally ! She can not be replaced. She needs a raise!! Her name is Nancy Hykel.❤️

The librarian at the West Public Library is so helpful and efficient. With an ongoing book sale, several young children to corral and several internet users, she was able to keep a calm and affable composure while attending to every need. Using the computer and printer, I was able to complete my business very quickly. I have been in before and the librarian was helpful but I was impressed with her abilities when there was so much going on.

The best little library of which we were members and patrons. Not a large library by any means, but the librarian would order books from McLennan Library for us which expanded the selection quite a bit. If we were a day late returning books we never paid a fine. If we were going on vacation and needed an extra few days we asked. This library epitomizes all that is good about this area of Texas. Honest and friendly neighbors. We miss you guys: Ray, Steve, John French, Delfa, and everyone else. Worst thing I ever did was move from Ross, Texas.

I grew up going to this library, was a volunteer in the story time program Tale Tellers for over 5 years, and through that program I met the boy I hope to marry ;) Have many wonderful memories here -- truly a great place, with an amazing librarian.

Neat, quiet and the Librarian is professional and helpful. Not that it would benefit me BUT Additional operating hrs would be nice. BUT I realize the budget is not ready to support more hours or help.
