Wells Public Library

I am an avid reader and spend time on this site looking for books I might enjoy. If they do not have the book on property they will order it from another library in the system. I have ALWAYS been treated with utmost respect from every librarian for years now. These folks are helpful and friendly. This library does so much for our little town and the tourists. Cannot imagine having any complaints. I thank you so much Wells library for offering so much and treating your patrons with kindness and decency and KNOWLEDGE of books.

This library has extremely rude librarians. My kids and I sat down to do some school over summer break and were at a table by ourselves in the corner. Of the 3 min video I was trying to show my kids for their lesson on the lowest volume on my phone, we were interrupted by Caroline telling us we weren’t allowed to just watch videos in a library and we could take it outside or put headphones on. We got all of 1.5 min in while whispering to each other about the video, which was demonstrating proper pencil grip, and this is how we were approached. She didn’t mention they have have meeting rooms or study rooms or anywhere we could go, which it appears they do, she just said take it outside or put headphones on, like all three of us could share headphones and discuss the video with the headphon

My husband and I went to the library in Wells and noticed a table with little envelopes containing vegetable and flower seeds free for the taking so we took a packet of sunflower seeds. As you can see in the photo we shared, the sunflowers that grew from a tiny little seed have grown to our roof line. Thank you to the library and to the person who shared those seeds.

I waited for several days while on vacation to visit this library and I wasn't disappointed. This is a really nice library. Very large and lots and lots of books, videos/magazines, etc. It is almost too large with a very corporate or large government feel to it. But it was fine way to spend the afternoon.

Nice library. I travel full time and run a marketing agency, so I am often working from libraries or coffee shops, but libraries are my favorite. This one was great. Not too small, not too large. Clean, tidy, good temperature inside and some nice spots to sit by windows. I especially enjoyed working in the quiet/ study room, which has its own bathrooms just outside the door and a water bottle fill. The outdoor patio was a nice spot to eat my lunch, with a walk around the middle school field behind to get some sunshine and fresh air. Mosquitoes are a little bit of a pain, but that's about everywhere in June it seems.
