Wells Beach Lobster Pound

Well the lobster was cooked to perfection! The claws were already cracked, and the tail came split — easy to enjoy without the mess. It was served with homemade chips that hit the spot. We sat outside on a beautiful day, and I decided right then: when I’m craving lobster again, this is where I’m coming back! The young staff impressed me too — well trained, cheerful, and clearly focused on making sure customers are happy. Great food, great atmosphere, great people. Highly recommend!

Great clean atmosphere with one of the best lobster rolls I’ve had in New England. The clam chowder was flavorful with a great consistency and the homemade chips were unexpectedly so good! There’s ample parking and places to sit.

Got the twin lobster and clam chowder. Clam chowder was served nice and warm, with crackers. Had decent amount of seafood inside and was rich and creamy without being overpowering. 5/5 Lobster was affordable and very very fresh. However, felt it was slightly overcooked. Would have tasted even better with lemon too. 4/5 Chips were nice and crispy though was not hot temperature wise. Some were a little thick for my liking. 3/5 Coleslaw was great 4.5/5 Utensils would have been better with metal instead of plastic pickers. Came early in the morning and really grateful they start selling so early. Place was very clean and professional as well.

I had the lobster grilled cheese, it was great! The service was pretty fast, and the atmosphere is fabulous…. Outside seating by the beach, can watch the seals in the rocks, and listen to the waves. Perfection!!!

Lobster roll was tiny and taste was bland. The fried haddock sandwich was also bland and fell apart in pieces. A bit disappointing after driving 5 hours for our first lobster roll this trip.
