Wei Wei BBQ Restaurant

Drove to Pukalani to give this local spot a try. I ordered the mini Loco Moco. The burger patties were cooked very well and they had a good flavor. The mac salad was also delicious. Quality of food made it worth the drive.

It’s like they are greedy with the flavors for Boba because it always taste water down. Very tasteless. The Boba is overcooked and mushy. It doesn’t even sit in brown sugar syrup. You can tell because it just taste plain the Thai tea don’t even bother getting it doesn’t even come with evaporated milk or some kind of milk. It’s just straight tea and Boba.. I don’t wanna seem like an asshole telling them how to make my Boba, but I will leave a review. Just so other folks are aware this probably isn’t the best place to get Boba.

Got the BBQ plate lunch. It comes with 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. It was a decent meal, but nothing extraordinary. The girl behind the counter was very nice and efficient too. Plenty of tables inside for dining in.

The ambiance leaves something to be desired, but the food is very fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Recommend getting take-out rather than eating in.

Wei Wei BBQ is one of those spots you almost don’t want to tell people about — because it’s already hard enough finding parking. Family-owned, fast, friendly, and straight-up broke da mouth food. The roast duck, char siu, and crispy pork are all winners. You can’t really go wrong — it’s always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. Feels like comfort food made by your auntie who actually likes you. And I probably shouldn’t say this, but… they might have the best smash burger on the island. For real. But don’t spread it around too much. I still like being able to order without a 45-minute wait. This place has that rare combo: local feel, awesome people, and food that never misses. If you’re on Maui and haven’t tried it yet — go. Just… maybe don’t tell everyone
