Banyan Tree Bed and Breakfast

We loved our stay at the Banyan Tree! This is a beautiful, quiet property in an amazing location for exploring the National Park and Upcountry. This is not a "traditional" bed and breakfast where you will be served a hot breakfast in a communal dining room. Instead, Helaina delivers a healthy, high-protein breakfast to your room each morning. She even delivered it the night before our sunrise reservation at Haleakala so we would have our food for our early morning trek up the mountain. It was perfect for a day of hiking and exploring (with plenty of food). The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again!

This was our first hotel on Maui after arrival - it’s extremely convenient to the airport as well as Haleakala volcano, so I highly recommend it as a first stop on Maui. It is also relatively close to the Northern coast surfing beach (where we watched surfers and seals), plus, if you plan on going to Hana, you can check off a couple of the closer waterfalls the day before getting on the road in earnest.||||When we arrived it was pretty dark and there was nobody manning the reception. The photos showed a yoga room, but I guess we were not there long enough to find it. I stayed here for close to 14 days as attended a retreat near by. I have to say it was super easy to find and clearly sign posted off road. Super close like 2 minutes drive to makawao which is super cute town. 15 minutes drive to the beach and pia town. The photos do not do this placd justice it’s so beautiful and the pool is incredible and so are the grounds. The host is the most friendly and helpful ever. It’s like a little place of heaven I can’t wait to return. I can’t not recommend enough.

We had a lovely time in the Bamboo suite for two nights. Heleina's place was a great jumping off point for our upcountry adventures (Haleakala, a coffee/cacao tour), and the pool was perfect for our 7 year old to burn off some energy after daytime touring. Breakfast was nice and convenient and we had a lovely time.

My husband and I loved our stay here! Helaina was very sweet and super responsive. I was a huge fan of all the nature and landscaping onsite. The pool was a fun area to hang out. We loved the location with easy access to the road to Hāna, Paia, and the cute little town of Makawao. I would definitely stay here again! We were in the Plumeria room, but I’m sure all of them are great!
